   Summary

   "Who will be there when the lights go out?"

   Alex and Joel arrive at the fabled City in the center of the world, but circumstances force them away sooner than they intend. Beckoned by strange dreams and ringing telephones, they encounter the last few holdouts of men taking refuge from the violence sweeping across Olathe - some on the run from the violence pursuing them, others hiding from what they've brought upon themselves. The Infinity Franchise's great work nears completion. There are rumors that God hides in the after-image of the Great White Flash. As whatever remains of the world crumbles around them, Alex and Joel struggle to find a place that might be spared from the age of sickness, until they're forced to question if that sickness can be cured, and what the cure might demand from them in return.
