Jan and JingJing are two of the biggest stars at the same label, publicly framed as rivals and privately far more entertained by one another than either wants to admit. Jan is the respected veteran, known for her seriousness, creative control, and hard-earned reputation as a songwriter and artist. JingJing is a former actress turned pop star whose beauty, charisma, and instinct for performance have made her impossible to ignore. Somewhere along the way, Jan has mistaken that polish for ease, while JingJing has grown used to the quiet certainty in Jan’s gaze, the sense that she has already been understood and found wanting.
Their rivalry becomes a private game of making the other lose composure first. But lingering hands, whispered provocations, and deliberate flirtation soon become something harder to dismiss. When JingJing catches Jan staring and challenges her to do something about it, Jan finally kisses her, and JingJing kisses her back with equal hunger.
