Summary
A choked-back whimper of fear slipped through the bond, washing over Price like cold water.
Price’s eyes softened instantly, the hard lines of his face crumbling. He leaned in, pressing their foreheads together and letting his scent, warm and steadying, curl around Soap.
“I know, sunshine,” Price murmured, framing Soap's face with his large hands to gently tilt it up. “It scared me too.”
The words hit Soap like a bullet to the chest. His breath stuttered, his eyes widening as it finally dawned on him: Price was furious, too. He was just better at masking his temper because they were his priority.
