Summary
A patient is flirting with Buck. The good news is, Buck seems to be enjoying himself immensely judging by his tilted grin and the fact that he’s lingering while Hen and Eddie actually try to do their jobs. The bad news is… all of the above.
“Alright, Buck,” Chim swoops in like Eddie’s knight in shining armor. “Stop distracting your husband and let him do his job.”
Buck’s face drops, gawking at Chimney as he continues on his way to the truck.
“Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t realize…” their patient begins, her shoulders bunching to her ears.
“No!” Buck waves his hands, whipping his head down to look at her. “No. Soon to be ex-husband, actually.”
She makes a face. Eddie tries not to. “That sounds… complicated,” she says.
“Nope. Not complicated at all,” Buck insists. “We got married as a joke in Vegas. It didn’t mean anything. Drunken mistake.”
Eddie clenches his jaw, praying for the ground to open up and drag him under.
Eddie has come to the decision that a forever love is not for him. He plans to remain happily single for the rest of his life. That is, until a drunken night in Vegas changes everything.
