Summary
James Potter had lost Regulus Black years ago.
At least, that was how Regulus told the story. If you asked James, it was a little more complicated than that. A lot more stupid. And neither of them should probably still be paying, as adults, for the choices they’d made when they were seventeen.
But Regulus had never been particularly fond of forgiveness. And forgetting was something he had never learned how to do.
Maybe that was James’s biggest problem. He had spent years letting Regulus keep him out of his life, but he had never truly believed Regulus had managed to keep him out of his heart.
Now Regulus was back.
And James wasn’t seventeen anymore.
James Potter had spent years learning how to live without Regulus Black.
He had absolutely no intention of learning how to do it twice.
