"Get off your phone and pay attention to me!" Mitya whined, pulling on Alyosha's arm in hopes to make him drop his phone. "Neglecting your husband one day in, you're so mean, luchik."
"You are the whiniest man I know," Alyosha said, putting his phone face down on the side table. He pushed himself down to lay next to Mitya, face to face. "I'm not neglecting my husband," He murmured, cupping Mitya's cheek and pulling him in for a quick kiss.
"Feels like it, what on your phone is more interesting than me?"
"Well, Odette figured out we're in Fontaine and I'm guessing she told Vodyanitsa, too. She texted me to call me 'fake'."
"Do you think they know?" Mitya asked, a smile slowly taking over his face.
"I think if she knew we eloped, she would be blowing up my phone right now. Probably yours, too."
Mitya hummed, scooting closer to lay his head on Alyosha's chest. "Do you think we should tell them before we get home?"
"I think it would be kind of funny not to."
"How do you mean?"
"We can see how long it will take them to figure out something is different."
Mitya chuckled, "That may take a while."
"Then let's see just how long."
"Shall we make a bet?"
Alyosha smiled, "We shall."

The far back room in the theater was Alyosha's favorite. It was quiet, off the beaten path, and most importantly, far enough from the front of the building for him to not have to worry about noise. Mitya loved this room as well.
Alyosha was doing his best to keep count in his head, they had at most fifteen minutes until Valeriy found Mitya, but the time was blurring as Mitya pushed him harder against the desk, kissing down his neck. Alyosha sighed, gripping the hair on Mitya's nape, "Come back up here."
Mitya pulled away, a smile on his face. Alyosha closed the distance between them, wrapping his arms around the other man's shoulders. Then there was a knock at the door, which was strange, because Alyosha knew it hadn't been fifteen minutes. "Hello?" He called out.
Seconds later, the doors swung open, revealing a smiling, very peeved Vodyanitsa. "Is there a reason you have once again snuck off back here even though I have banned you from this room?"
"Uhh.." Mitya laughed awkwardly.
"What is up with you guys, anyway? Didn't you just spend a week attached at the hip? You're acting like you're in the honeymoon phase again."
"I just missed him, I guess," Mitya said, stepping back from where Alyosha was still stood against the desk.
"Well, miss him elsewhere, Mr. Scientist. Next time you come to this theater and don't pay attention to me, I'm pushing you into a lake."
"Undestood."
Vodyanitsa's smile shifted into something slightly nicer, "Wonderful! Valeriy is waiting outside for you." She turned and left after she finished, leaving the two of them alone once again. Alyosha giggled.
"What?" Mitya asked.
"'You're acting like you're in the honeymoon phase', little does she know," Alyosha whispered, getting closer to Mitya to give him one last kiss. "Now go, before she comes back and drags you out."
"Sir, yes sir."

It became very clear to Mitya that Vesna had no intention of dropping the subject as soon as she walked in. She walked up to him holding the ring out in her open palm, only to close it when Mitya reached out.
"So. You got married."
"I did," Mitya said.
"And you didn't tell me."
"To be fair, we didn't tell anyone."
Vesna scoffed, "What, like that's better?"
"It was kind of impulsive?" Mitya said, shrugging. "I asked Alyosha if he wanted to marry me, and two weeks later we were married. We didn't really plan anything."
"And how are you planning to rectify that?" Vesna asked with narrowed eyes.
"Rectify it?"
"Yes. I'm sure you know that Vodyanitsa will want to drown you when she finds out you hid this, so I'd hope you would have made a plan to rectify it."
"Well, we didn't think quite that far. But I guess I'd like to have an actual ceremony eventually. Do you think that would be enough to keep her from drowning us?"
Vesna giggled, "Oh, she wouldn't drown you and Alyosha, just you. It could be enough, but you need to flesh out a much better plan before she inevitably finds out."
"It wasn't even my idea to hide it, shouldn't Alyosha take the brunt of it?"
"Not my call. Take your ring back, I have to get back to work," Vesna opened her hand again, actually letting Mitya take the ring this time. As he started pulling his hand back, she grabbed it and pulled him forward, "You better invite me to your wedding, idiot."
"We will, I promise."

"Huh?"
"I'm asking because the ring you've been wearing is relatively new, and you left for a week with Alyosha. To me, it seems like you got married."
Mitya smiled awkwardly, "We may have eloped."
"Well then, congratulations." Valeriy smiled at him.
"I don't think I've ever seen you smile before, Valeriy."
"Sure you have. Are you two planning on having an actual ceremony?"
"We are. You're invited if you want to be, no pressure, though."

Wedding planning was just annoying enough that Alyosha wished they could just fly under the radar longer. He had never been the type of person to want any big celebration where he was the center of attention, and despite how outgoing Mitya could be, he wasn't either. Suffice to say, they had barely made any progress with planning.
Mitya was laying across the couch, his head in Alyosha's lap. He was meant to be looking into venues for them, however his phone was next to him as he stared up at Alyosha. "What if we have a mini ceremony at the theater? Instead of stressing ourselves out about all of it?"
"We could, I just think it should be more special.."
Mitya sat up, moving to face Alyosha. "It'll be special no matter what, luchik. Plus, way cheaper."
Alyosha laughed, "It would be significantly cheaper. But we'd have to get permission first."
"No big deal."
"Kind of big deal. We'll need permission and we'll have to find a period of time that's feasible and won't run into any of the performances or get interrupted-"
Mitya pulled him into a kiss, shutting him up. He was smiling as he pulled away, "How about we just tell Vodyanitsa and Odette and get their help?"
"Really?"
"It wasn't my idea to hide it."
"You didn't try to stop it, either."
"No, I didn't. But Vodyanitsa already has us figured out, so why not?"
