Chapter Text
My day was so mundane, I don't think I left the house
Drank a pot of coffee, tried to write, nothing came out
Somehow, it's the weekend, I'm still bored out of my skull
And I went to a party but only on principle
"Bye Hazel, miss you already." Pink called out waving from the docks.
"Bye my princess, I'll be back before you know it. 3 weeks is nothing and I'll write everyday!" came her girlfriends response.
Pink walked back to the campus where she had a dorm that she shared with one of her friends in her year: Violet. They had bonded over the fact that they both had colours for names but since it was winter break she was back in Corona to spend the winter break with her dad: Varian.
Pink and Red had opted to stay at Auradon Prep for the winter break as, yes while they loved their mum, she smothered them a lot, and seeing as she had forewarned them that if they came back then she would be in meetings most of the time they made the decision to hang out at the school. So, that left Pink, Red and Chloe together at AP for the holidays (Chloe had begged to stay with Red but Pink was unsure why - she knew they were dating but not that they refused to be apart). With Red staying at AP under her Mum's directions - apparently Pink still needed a 'baby-sitter' I mean the girl was 16 for crying out loud and she wasn't exactly unsafe here! - Chloe wasn't returning to Ellasburg.
After arriving back in her dorm, the eerie silence left pink feeling just as empty as the room she was staying in. And even better yet, as she flopped on her bed as a wave of nausea hit her, but blowing it off as nothing she walked over to the mini kitchenette in their room and brought her diary with her from under her pillow. She brewed a pot of her favourite wonderland tea and sat drinking her way through it trying her hardest to write anything she could but the words weren't forming in her brain properly.
Deciding to lay on her bed and take a nap she checked the time: 14:23 on Thursday. Then sleep over took her.

3 loud raps woke her up and groggily she called out "Red?"
"Yep tiz moi. Oh, and I have Chloe can we come in?"
"Yep your all good"
The door creaked open and in came Red followed by Chloe.
"Since its Saturday - "
"SATURDAY"
"Yes Pink, Saturday. Did you forget the days of the week or something?" came a giggle from Red.
"Must of had so much tea it knocked me out" came a mumble from the Pinkette.
"Pardon" Chloe said.
"Something like that you know what the holidays are like!"
"I'm lucky I've got Chloe to keep me on top of things like that!" Red gave her girlfriends hand a squeeze. "Anyway since it's SATURDAY" Red emphasized, "Me and Chloe were going to go the the Christmas party. You wanna come with us?"
"I don't know..."
"Pretty please it will be so fun and its Christmas in 2 days, you have to. Red begged and when that didn't bring a response she pulled out her puppy dog eyes.
"Fine. But only on principal"
"Yay" came the exited squeal of her older sister. "Ok, I will leave you to get ready but I'll be back in 3 hours to get you for lunch then then we can pick out outfits together. Sound good?"
"Yup"
Red walked out the door dragging Chloe along as the blue haired girl tried to wave goodbye.
Pink dragged herself out of bed and to her tea pot brewing some healing tea she suspected that would do the trick but she had also never had these symptoms before so the best she could really do was hope. The whole time she was alone she was thinking about Hazel and how much she missed her pirate. it was like she could feel the distance pulling her heartstrings so hard they were going to snap.
It was 12:30 when Red burst through the younger girls door again "Lunchtimeeeee" Pink snapped her head around.
"Hey Red, Hey Chloe. You guys look nice, gimme 2 seconds to finish my mascara and... Ready. Ok lets go"
Pink grabbed her bag off her chair and stood up stumbling slightly.
"Woah sis you good?!"
"Yeah just lost my balance"
Red shot Chloe a quizzical look but let it slide. The trio walked down to the lunch hall talking about anything and everything they could think of. Sitting down with their food Pink was the first one to move the conversation on again.
"I miss Hazel" she said pouting softly.
"Really!" came Red's reply "You guys don't exactly hang out a lot?"
"We do you just don't see cause your attached to Chloe 24/7 I swear we never get to hang out just you and me anymore - no offense Chloe."
"None taken" she smiled.
"Ok fair point let's do a shopping trip - boxing day just us"
"Woo-hoo!!!"
As the day pushed on the girls headed to the dorm that Chloe and Red shared to finish getting ready for the dance. All going, of course, for outfits in their staple colours.
Pink had on a sequined pink dress with many frills that stopped at her knees and a stitched bouquet of pink tulips on the bodice. Chloe had a cerulean blue dress that stopped mid thigh and flowed when she walked causing Red to compare her to a goddess. Red however, had on a deep red pant suit that had her signature heart with a lightning bolt painted by the girl herself, onto the breast pocket.
They all headed downstairs Pink trailing behind the lovers who were arm in arm and grinning at each other with extremely goofy smiles that made the youngest giggle to herself.
At the party Pink stood in the corner sipping punch and thinking about the pirate who had stolen her heart and how being with out her made everyday seem difficult and boring.
Feeling another wave of sickness come over her she decided she was going to head up to bed so walking over to her sister she tapped the redhead on the shoulder and muttered "Hey I'm not feeling too good and I'm really tired so I'm going to head up to bed now."
"K, do you want me to walk you up?"
"Nah, I'm alright. But thanks."
