TUESDAY:
“Alright everyone!” Mr. Harrington announces while walking into the class room. “I have some exciting news. We are going on a field trip this Friday!”
No one really reacted to this statement, since field trips are usually boring.
Or something bad happens, but that might just be a me thing.
“Well, just wait until you find out where we are going! Stark Industries!”
The class erupted with excitement.
No, no no no. You have to be kidding me…
“Yes! Now everyone will finally know you have been lying about your internship, Parker.”
I sink into my seat.
This will be fun.
…
“Hey May, I’m home.”
“Hey sweetheart! How was school?”
“It was good. I have a field trip form for you to sign.”
“Fun! Where to?”
I rummage through my bag, half hoping I have lost the paper. When I finally find it, I slide it across the counter. She reads it, looks up and starts laughing.
“Stark Industries?” She chuckles. “A field trip to the place you work?”
“Yeah, yeah May. Can you just sign it please? Or don’t, fine by me.”
“No, no, I will sign it.”
She quickly signs the paper and hands it back, still smiling.
