Summary
The door to the bar swings open, and the sharp clatter-clatter-thunk of the break of the balls rises up to meet them. As does a thick cloud of smoke. It swirls around him and Otabek. Pulls them inside and closes the door to the harsh winter night behind them. It clings to him and Otabek, like a drunken ex-lover desperate to rekindle the flame. They’ll both smell of it tomorrow when they inevitably pass out in their clothes in the early morning hours.
