Work Text:
Jin-Ah looked down once more at the face poking out from the shadow. She shook her head before relenting and reaching out to grab a piece of pork, which was promptly knocked down from her chopsticks.
“Oppa!”
Her brother had a look of annoyance. “Don’t feed her.”
“Why not?”
“Because she's never going to stop begging.”
Jin-Ah huffed and sat back in her chair. “You’re evil if you can just ignore that adorable face.”
The next day Jin-Ah was surprised to see a familiar shadow pop up in her room in a small form. The wyvern must've stayed behind when Jin-Woo went out.
Jin-Ah got up to greet her. “He doesn't know what he's talking about, does he, girl?” she cooed in a baby voice while scratching Kaisel’s chin.
Kaisel purred like a cat, flipping over into her lap.
“Awww, you must be so hungry. I bet my meanie of a brother doesn't feed you, huh?”
She exited her room with Kaisel and placed her on the kitchen counter.
A ransacked fridge later and Jin-Ah had an assortment of foods she thought would be appropriate for a dragon, all consisting of different types of meat.
“Okayyyy, we've got Bulgogi, short ribs and fried rice with ham in it.” Jin-Ah opened one container and placed it in front of Kaisel who wasted no time chowing down.
“Wow, you must've been starving, girl.” Jin-Ah commented as she did the same with the other two.
Once done Kaisel looked up at Jin-Ah with the same adorable begging face.
Jin-Ah opened the fridge again. She hesitantly picked up a box from it. “Ah, well I suppose you could also have my fried chicken…”
Kaisel scarfed that down as well in a matter of seconds, then looked at Jin-Ah, this time expectantly.
“I’m sorry girl, there no more- Wait, gimme a sec.”
Jin-Ah turned back to the fridge and opened the top part this time, taking out some beef before presenting it to Kaisel.
Kaisel sniffed at the raw meat and turned her head with a snort.
“Hey! There's nothing wrong with it.”
The angry wyvern stomped around on the counter, smoke coming from its nostrils.
Jin-Ah rolled her eyes. “Don’t tell me you want it cooked.”
At the suggestion Kaisel perked up again and started wagging her tail.
“Ugh, fine. You're lucky you're so cute. Fair warning though, I'm not the best cook.”
When Jin-Woo made it back home, he definitely wasn't prepared to be greeted by smoke and flames. “Jin-Ah!” he yelled from the front door.
“GIMME A SECOND!” Jin-Ah yelled over the beeping of the smoke detector.
Jin-Woo walked inside noting the various ingredients laid on every surface, his sister trying and failing to not burn the meats she had cooking on all four burners, and a guilty Kaislel waiting in front of a grease stained plate.
He grabbed onto Jin-Ah's shoulder. “Outside now!”
She had received a proper berating while they were waiting for the smoke to clear. But it seemed her brother couldn't help but rub it in. “And what did we learn?” he asked.
Jin-Ah heaved in annoyance. “Don’t. feed. the. dragon.” she replied, scrubbing the soot off the ceiling.
“Wyvern.” he corrected with a satisfied smile.
