   Summary

   Steve had always had an odd relationship with himself. His body didn’t always do what he wanted it to. It didn’t look the way he wanted it to. And there were societal expectations he didn’t meet. That came with being in his 20s. That came with being a certain gender, or rather, with not matching what he’d been born as.

   He’d liked the life he could live in the 21st century. He’d started settling into his body, finally. But the gaping hole in his heart had remained. He missed his ma, sure. But what he had hated most was that he couldn’t celebrate with his best guy. The person he wanted to share his joy with most wasn’t there.
