Work Text:
Your eyes blink open slowly as you stir awake, adjusting to the dark. Kasper arms are still wrapped around you tightly, face buried into your neck. A few messy strands of his hair tickle your collarbone.
Poptart lays asleep by your feet, purring faintly. As much as you’d love to stay, you have to use the bathroom.
Kasper whines a bit as you move to get up, but otherwise stays asleep. You sigh miserably as you pry yourself away from the others warmth and into the cold hallway to the bathroom.
Your feet patter against the floors of his apartment as you open the door to the bathroom. It’s a bit messy, cluttered with Kasper and your belongings, but it’s comfortable, domestic maybe.
You finish up and wash your hands. The warm water is a nice contrast to the coldness of the tile under you. You can’t wait to get back to Kasper. Hopefully he’s not awake.
You begin making your way back to the bedroom, turning the handle and walking back into his space. The hallway light shines behind you and into the room.
He’s sitting up on the edge of the bed, a half-asleep Poptart by his side, both looking up at you, “why did you leave us…” he complains dramatically, looking up at you like a kicked puppy.
“I was gone for like, five minutes.” You raise an eyebrow, walking back over to the bed.
“Five minutes too long, duudee!” He flops back on the bed, spread out like a starfish in the messy sheets and blankets.
Kasper opens his arms invitingly, looking at you with a stupid grin. You flick the hallway light switch off before laying back down, sighing contently as he wraps his arms around you and pulls you against him tighter.
You squirm around a little, getting comfortable again in his arms, your legs tangle together with his as he rubs your back lazily.
You two adapt a similar position as before, this time Kasper facing you. His stubble scratches your face a little as he slides his face back into your neck with a quiet groan, seemingly falling back asleep.
Poptart curls up into your side with a soft trill, purring as you reach down to scratch behind her ears.
Your eyelids droop, lulled to sleep by the comforting vibrations of your cat’s purring and the familiar warmth of your boyfriend's arms.
