Chapter Text
Squiddo’s day was going AWFUL so far, her boyfriend was sick and couldn’t log on today, she spilt her coffee on herself, and now she was being farmed for her hearts by Spoke and MinuteTech! It wasn’t all that surprising to her though, she was an easy target, being awful at PVP and all of that stuff.
Somehow, she manages to escape Minute and Spoke. How? I don’t know dude, hopes and dreams? She quickly ran back to her base, desperate to get away.
“Dang it… I’m only at three hearts…” Squiddo mumbled under her breath, staring down at her heart count and speaking to nobody in particular.
When she gets back to her base, her team is gone? Uhm?? What the heck?? Where could they be? Perhaps they’re at spawn, but Squiddo is NOT going there with no gear.
Squiddo re-gears and sets off to find their team. Navigating through the honestly horrendous builds to get to spawn. It was… strangely empty? There were literally NO players around here. As she walked closer to spawn, she started to hear the voices of… players? A lot of them, a very random mix of voices. She slowly climbed up the hill separating them from spawn.
Squiddo sees their team mixed in with all the other Lifesteal members. Why is nobody fighting each other? Why was there a long table with food scattered aimlessly around it?? Why did everyone seem to be getting along?!? Was this a.. party..? Why.. Why didn’t Squiddo know anything about this..? Why hadn’t her teammates bothered to look for her, to invite her?
She stood at the top of that hill, staring down at the team she was “a part” of that had decided to leave her out. They just stood there atop of the hill, watching as the party died down and people left, watching as her team slowly approached her, watching as they showed no remorse for their actions. Wondering if the fact that she was awful at PVP was embarrassing to them. If it was too humiliating to be seen in public with her, humiliating to have such a bad player on their team. Surely not, her team wouldn’t.
Would they?
