Summary
Ten years ago, a large number of the world's population mysteriously passed away due to a widespread genetic defect—all infants under the age of 6 months. The world was in turmoil and soon, deaths far outnumbered those living and the world's governments had to figure something out to solve the failing population. Breeding programs, more or less. Young couples were matched up and made to have children. Slowly, birth rates climbed, but it would be a while before the world was back in full working order.
