They were sat around the breakfast table the next day, after everything had all come to a head and feelings were finally spoken and returned and they’d ended up back at Jong-In’s in a tangled mess of tongues and hands and heat and closeness that still brought a warm glow of satisfaction to Jong-In the next day when he thought back on it.
But as he kept himself busy going back and forth in the kitchen, he noticed that Yoon-Ho seemed preoccupied with something. Thankfully Jong-In had enough confidence in that part of his life to not doubt the actual experience of last night, but he did still care.
“And what are you thinking about so early in the morning?” he asked, pouring two mugs of coffee and handing one to Yoon-Ho.
“You’re fine with biting right?”
“Oh! Yes, I agree that a little pinch of pain can help send one over the edge while in the throes of it. If you’re referring to the fact that I grew scales to stop you from breaking the skin…” Jong-In took a sip of coffee, turning away for a moment. “It… it wasn’t intentional. I’m afraid I was unused to how the way my mana flares while I’m… distracted… would change. I’m used to just heating the room a little.”
Yoon-Ho just chuckled.
“Yeah I get that. Biting was something I had to stop doing when I could grow fangs when wound up.” Yoon-Ho grinned, and Jong-In could perfectly picture the fangs that used to reside there, even if he never used to smile that wide. “In that same vein, I would definitely not be opposed to a little biting in return. And if it involves fangs, that’s fine too.”
“Well my fangs are rather different to yours…” Jong-In muttered, putting his coffee mug down and trying not to think about it too hard.
“Can I see?”
The question caught Jong-In off guard, and his immediate reaction was to close himself off and deflect the attention… But he knew Yoon-Ho cared, and wasn’t judging him, and probably understood.
Jong-In sighed.
“Due to the different layout of serpent teeth compared to the mammalian teeth, it’s slightly more awkward for me to transform just my teeth. Snake teeth all curve backwards and are mostly used to stop prey from escaping when they’re trying to swallow it, and venomous snakes have fangs that sit back flat unless they’re actively attacking something.”
Yoon-Ho smiled, leaning back in his chair as he watched Jong-In talk. Frankly Jong-In could accuse him of being sappy. Why else would he be so happy just to listen to Jong-In explaining things?
“Obviously the biology of magic beast serpents is more diverse, and they use their mana to reinforce themselves. I seem to be some combination of the two.”
Jong-In opened his mouth, focusing his mana on his teeth and nowhere else.
It felt strange, and he found himself shifting his tongue as well, it felt like a human tongue might catch on the fangs.
Yoon-Ho shuffled his chair closer, plunking the coffee mug on the table as he closely examined Jong-In’s teeth. He raised a finger to poke at the fangs and Jong-In couldn’t stop his tongue from darting out to meet it, surprising Yoon-Ho, making him flinch slightly, but then smile afterwards.
“And here I thought you got a good enough taste of me last night,” he smirked. Jong-In frowned, deliberately flicking his tongue at Yoon-Ho’s nose. Yoon-Ho flinched again, rubbing his nose with a finger and looking like he was a moment away from sneezing. “Just let me see your teeth, you goof.”
Jong-In sighed before opening his mouth again.
This time he managed to keep his tongue under control as Yoon-Ho gently touched the curved fangs. They were harder and sharper than normal snake teeth, but not quite as curved back, as if they would stop something moving while biting it, but then allowing easy detaching rather than forcing it backwards. Next Yoon-Ho pressed into the muscle at the base of the two main fangs, watching as it started to unfold.
“How do you get them to fold down?” he asked. Jong-In leant back slightly away from Yoon-Ho’s fingers before opening his mouth slightly wider to demonstrate.
“You’re right, they are very different to mine,” Yoon-Ho seemed thoughtful as he leant back in the chair. “I’d still be down though, something fun to try and experience,” he smirked at Jong-In who only raised an eyebrow.
“They are also venomous. And I’d rather not poison you while we’re having sex,” he said flatly.
“We could keep a healer nearby to cure the poison,” Yoon-Ho grinned, clearly trying to get a rise out of him.
“I didn’t take you to be such an exhibitionist,” Jong-In smirked back. “Although with how often you stripped off in public I suppose it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise…”
“And I’m surprised you’re not with how much you seem to enjoy peacocking for the camera, the media, your guild, me…” his voice had dropped to a purr as he pulled Jong-In closer, who had to suddenly get his mouth under control again as Yoon-Ho pulled him into a kiss. “But if teeth are off the table, I bet you could do some horrendous things with that tongue,” Yoon-Ho breathed into his ear that made Jong-In shudder.
Jong-In’s response was to pull Yoon-Ho into his own kiss, using his transformed tongue to reach deeper into Yoon-Ho’s mouth than before, pulling a surprised sound from him, only to pull Jong-In closer.
“I suppose some experimentation is in order,” Jong-In purred when they pulled apart a few moments later.
“You read my mind,” Yoon-Ho growled back as he lifted Jong-In from the chair, carrying him bridal style back towards the bedroom.
