The man spoke in a low, clear tone. Han met his eyes. Dark and deep. Cold and unreadable. An uncomfortable shiver ran down his spine.
“What does your master want?” he asked nevertheless.
He munched on the bread, scooping up every last bit of stew with it. Every drop counted when meals like this were a luxury.
“He wishes to talk,” the man said in the same calm, emotionless voice. “Follow me. He will make it worth your while.”
