City of Stars (You Never Shined So Brightly...)

Summary:

He never wanted to bring anyone down or force them to stay with him due to his incompetence, yet he always felt like he did.

_-~*~¥~*~-_

New Orleans is beautiful, but some don’t see it that way. If you see it the way they do, however, no place is beautiful. João is one of those people. But maybe he can find something beautiful in this cold city, something to fill one’s empty heart and soul, even if just for a fleeting moment of joy.

The fic’s title is City of Stars from La La Land
Prequel to Where'd All the Time Go (It’s Starting to Fly…) AKA the Ephemeral-Verse

Notes:

You can genuinely just skip this chapter don’t even read it

This fic might not be updated for a bit, and I was originally going to post it much, much later, but its been collecting dust in my google docs, so chapter 1 is here, and chapter 2 is half written.

DISCLAIMERS:
Hetalia is pretty political and stereotypical and such. Whatever I write does NOT and will NOT reflect on my political opinion, or personal thoughts of the people from each country or just the country in general.
This is just about the characters that Hima made and created, which does mean I probably will be unable to write much about any characters that have not yet been created or explored as much
I try my best to portray sensitive topics as carefully as I can, but I apologize if it isn’t done well enough, and feel free to point it out
I have not been to many of the places I write about, so for most places, I am just using the name and geographical location and just redoing the whole thing
I use google translate for a some words, so feel free to correct me, same with any cultural things in general

REMINDERS:
If you quote some part, make a reference, take inspiration, or make fan content, please write my user and a link to the fic (Tell me in the comments so I can check it out)
