Wemmbu glared, Jaden and Eggchan flanking his sides. Yungy was also next to him, while CodMaster hiding between Jadan and Egg. Wemmbu was surprised to find out that Yungy knew Flame, and quite frankly wished that the Nether Demon, along with the Parrot and Cockatiel hybrid would buzz out.
"What do you want?" he snapped, the noise causing Yungy's hand to twitch to the man's sword.
"Want us to get rid of them?" Yungy asked, narrowing his gaze at the group. Jaden, and shockingly EGG nodded in agreement.
"Yo, chill guys!" Wemmbu exclaimed, laughing at how ready they were to fight. "You're gonna make Cod nervous."
CodMaster spluttered, sounding indignant. "Excuse me for being scared when I'm around a bunch of strong fighters who are about to fight each other!"
"There's not going to be any fighting," Parrot said, cutting into the banter. "Wemmbu bro, I just want to talk-"
Yungy pulled out his sword, stepping in Parrot's path when the parrot hybrid stepped forward.
"Aye! Not a single step closer to the king."
Flame blinked in shock, staring at Wemmbu. "Bro, how did you out of people become king?"
The End-Demon chose to ignore his rival, waving Yungy down instead. "Bro, what did I just say. You gotta chill man, its not like Parrot could defeat me anyways." He said the last sentence while smirking, Egg rolling his eyes at his best friend's pride.
Theo opened his mouth, most likely in an attempt to defend his friends pride, but Parrot just shook his head, frowning softly at him.
"What do you want?" Egg suddenly demanded, his eye upper eye opening up in a judgemental stare.
Everyone blinked. Wemmbu had never heard so much anger, and annoyance come from Egg before.
"I just wanted to ask Wemmbu something." Parrot mumbled, his wings drooping.
"He's wants to ask why you fucking betrayed him!" Theo shouted, cutting what off what Parrot was about to say. "You joined Arachnid's side, you selfish, arrogant, prick!"
Wemmbu felt his temper flare, the grip he had on his quite admittedly, large amount of anger loosening at those words. Jaden glared at Flame, his thoughts probably being something about how Flame had worked for Saparata.
"Didn't Flame work for that Saps guys or something?" Egg asked, raising an eyebrow. "Why are you guys friends again with him if he betrayed Parrot too?"
"Bh- That's different!" Flame exclaimed, uncrossing his arms. "Why did you even start working for that Spider guy? I had a reason, but it makes no sense for you too!"
Jaden looked annoyed now, thinking of the same thing that Wemmbu was. "Bro, why are you asking? You should know, it was literally your fault that we joined the Cave Civ." the pirate said in his soft tone. "You were the reason Wemmbu joined!"
"How was I the reason?" Flame questioned, his tone raising higher as he began to argue. "I can't make Wemmbu do anything, it's not my problem if-"
"YOU LITERALLY TOOK EGGCHAN BRO!" Wemmbu exploded, spitting the words out like venom.
"I told you, I just wanted to ask some-"
"YOU HAD NO FUCKING RIGHT, EGG IS A PLAYER JUST LIKE YOU! IF YOU HADN'T KIDNAPPED HIM, I WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN FORCED TO JOIN CAVE CIV. WE GOT INTO THIS MESS, BECAUSE. OF. YOU!" Wemmbu screamed, his wings snapping out as outrage filled his mind.
Yungy crossed him arms, looking away. Wemmbu knew that the man still had some guilt inside him over the auction and how he had treated them before. Not like Wemmbu was much better. They would probably have to talk after this, he refused to be like Manepear.
Parrot looked taken off guard, while Flame and Theo looked confused.
"You wanna know why I joined Arachnid Parrot? It's because Flame let Egg get captured, and auctioned off to Arachnid! I fucking had to do whatever that Spider said if I wanted to keep Egg alive!"
"You could've asked for help." Theo said, but even he seemed hesitant now.
Wemmbu snarled, feeling the bloodlust beginning to take ahold of him, his irises turning black and- Eggchan stepped forward, one of the angel's head wings brushing Wemmbu's long hair. Egg had always been his anchor, Wemmbu thought, taking in a deep breath.
"I couldn't take any risks. Arachnid had Egg's pearls. And I did before Egg got kidnapped. I just wanted to keep my best friend safe. Is that really so selfish of me?" Wemmbu's voice cracked on the last sentence, the Ender Dragon looking away.
Theo opened and closed his mouth, eventually keeping it shut and wincing, his expression apologetic.
"I was just desperate to stay afloat," Wemmbu admitted, clenching his hands into fists. "I had to deal with a crazy spider, and making sure that I didn't piss him off enough for him to kill Egg. And I thought we were friends Flame! Sure, we kinda made up, but, I trusted you. That's twice now you've broken it."
Wemmbu turned, kicking off the ground and taking flight. He pushed the emotions that were bubbling in his chest down. There was no point in holding those things against them.
Forgive and forget.
"Can you guys lead them to the caves? Parrot doesn't really have any other place to go, assuming that Saps has taken over Spawn."
Yungy opened his mouth, glaring at the trio while moving to stand next to Jaden. "You sure Wemmbu? I can escort them out if you want."
"Its fine," he called out, waving for Egg to follow him. "Unless you want me to come with to make sure?"
"Nah, its fine," Jaden said, pulling out his trident as rain began to fall. Wemmbu still didn't know how the pirate did that. It gave him way too much aura. "Take Codmaster with you!"
Wemmbu grinned, tossed the fish(?) hybrid an elytra and some rockets. "We'll talk later." He told Parrot, catching a drift as he prepared to fly back to his kingdom. Wemmbu just hoped it would be better than this conversation was.
"For the record, I don't think your selfish. You really do care about your friends." Codmaster out of all people said.
"Thanks Codmaster," Wemmbu said, smiling. "Keep up the flattery and you'll be one of them in no time."
Egg just snorted, rolling his eyes. "Bro, stop gassing him up!"
Wemmbu laughed, enjoying the wind on his hair and being able to finally spend time with his friends. This wasn't so bad after all.
