Summary
“Come back home!” Robin yells, voice distorted by the wind. Jason ignores him, veering sharply to the left and then to the right. He only relaxes once Robin has swung past him into the night.
It's getting tiring, avoiding him. He should be benched after disobeying Batman like that, but Jason supposes he doesn't truly understand how Batman works. He doesn't have those memories, after all.
Robin is dead set on returning Jason to the manor. The big gloomy manor that Jason's never been inside of before and has only seen the exterior of once when he got morbidly curious.
It's not his home. He doesn't know the layout of the rooms or the butler that lives there or the password to the Batcave. He doesn't know what kinds of food they have for dinner or if there's a bedroom there that used to be his. All of this would give him away immediately, but that's not the part that keeps him away.
The people that live there aren't his family.
He'd just be lying to them.
