Summary
Ilya and Shane need to partner, obviously. Ilya and Shane need to play, obviously. Ilya and Shane need to return to their lives several thousand miles apart, obviously.
Other than Ilya or Shane moving countries and one of them abandoning all their current hockey obligations, they can only partner here and now, at the event. It’s clear that they’ll need to partner as much as possible to stem any potential fracture in the partnership that could lead to sickness. Shane’s cheeks turn red when this is decided upon.
