    I woke up with pink hair, green eyes, and someone else’s memories. The name on the drawer beneath my bed was Rieka Hanamori.

    Then All Might appeared on the morning news.

    I knew enough about My Hero Academia to be frightened. I also knew that remembering an anime wouldn’t teach me how to fly, hold a barrier through an attack, or heal someone without making a mistake.

    U.A. gave me something to work toward. Getting there meant learning to use my Quirk, keeping up with school, and figuring out how to live in a world I had only watched from a distance.

    I hadn’t planned on becoming friends with Hitoshi Shinsou. Or wanting Shouto Todoroki to stay a little longer whenever we talked. Years later, I certainly hadn’t expected two teachers to notice how often I handled everything alone—and keep asking questions.

    I was used to looking after myself.

    Getting used to people who wanted to look after me took longer.
