The last candle had been placed, manicured nails lingering on the silver frame longer than usual. The heat urged Nefer’s movements, pushing away from the table at last. Nefer's heels clicked on the stone as she closed the distance to meet Lauma. Her hand landed on the Moonchanter’s hip, slowly urging her to turn around and look at her.
“How much further preparation do you want done tonight? I’m growing… impatient for my payment.” Nefer's voice was low and sultry, a soft grin that was exclusively for the other woman.
“We've done everything needed tonight.” Lauma replied. “You truly are at your limit, my sweet?”
