Work Text:

The dim light of the flashlight lit up a small corner of the Convenience Store.
The cereal aisle.
Tsukasa shone the light on the cereal aisle, looking for one thing and one thing only.
Reese's Puffs.
The one and only cereal worth robbing a Convenience store for.
Probably 'cause that was what Tsukasa was doing right now.

"Hey, Tsukasa? Y'know where the Cereal Aisle is? I can't see shit in this darkness!"
A high voice echoed through the store, which made Tsukasa flinch in surprise.
"Don't you have a flashlight, Natsuki?" Tsukasa yelled back.
He knew he'd be in big trouble if anyone heard them, but it's not like anyone was going to the store at 2AM, right? ...right?

"Yeah— BUT IT'S NOT ENOUGH!!"

"Oh sweet Celestia— how do you not know where it is???"
Another voice yelled, the slightest hint of annoyance in it.

Ah, of course. Twilight Sparkle.
While organizing this heist, Tsukasa decided to bring along two of his friends.
Twilight Sparkle and Natsuki.
While he could've brought the rest of WonderlandsXShowtime with him, he didn't want to endanger the group's reputation by such a small thing like stealing Reese's Puffs.
While he didn't want to endanger Natsuki's and Twilight's reputation either, they were the best choice to go on a heist with.

Twilight's magic could help the group take more boxes of Reese's Puffs easier, and despite Natsuki's size, she can be quite a good fighter when necessary.
And of course— Tsukasa's greatness was bound to help them out!

"I DUNNO! I BARELY COME HERE!"
Natsuki yelled again, now her annoyance was easy to hear.

Tsukasa sighed.

If they carried on yelling, people outside might hear them.
And if the people outside hear them, they'll get fined, maybe even arrested, even if only for a few days!
But that's not the worst!
The reputation of WonderlandsXShowtime would be ruined!
Atleast, that's what Tsukasa assumed would happen.

"Ugh.. Let's all just agree on meeting up by the exit. I'm assuming you already found the Reese's Puffs, Tsukasa?"
Twilight asked.

"Yep! Of course I did! The great Tsu—"

"Alright, alright, we get it already."
Natsuki interrupted, Tsukasa could basically hear the eyeroll in her voice.

"Alright. Then let's go to the exit. Where are we going after that?"
Twilight asked.

"I know just the place!" Tsukasa answered. Despite the girls not being near him right now, Tsukasa placed his hand on his chest and the other in the air, making every single conversation with him exaggerated and theatrical has become a habit at this point. "The park! We can sit and relax there until it's morning! Annnnnd we can eat the Reese's Puffs in the process!"

"Hmm.." Twilight pondered. "Yeah, that works. You fine with it too, Natsuki?"

"Sure. We heading to the exit now or nah?" Natsuki asked.

"Yes, yes!" Tsukasa hastily replied, quickly grabbing box after box of Reese's Puffs, grabbing about 5 boxes against his arm while still holding his flashlight with the other.

*"Damn... only 5 boxes!? That's not nearly enough for the 3 of us! It's.. it's an uneven number!"* Tsukasa thought, trying to grab another box but dropping the other 5.
This is *never* going to work...

"Tsukasa! You coming or nah!?"
Natsuki yelled, startling Tsukasa yet again.

"If you need help with the boxes", I can come over and—"
Twilight started, but immediantly got cut off by Tsukasa.

"N-No! I don't need help!"

"...I'm coming anyway."
The loud clacking of hooves echoed through the empty store as Twilight made her way to Tsukasa.

And after a few about 30 seconds, Tsukasa guessed, Twilight arrived at his side and picked up 10 more boxes with her magic.
"There," Twilight said "15 boxes. Now there's enough for all of us."
Tsukasa merely nodded.
The 2 of them walked toward the exit. Natsuki leaned against the wall, tapping her foot impatiently.

"Done?"

Twilight and Tsukasa nodded.

The 3 walked across the checkered Convenience store floor as they made their way toward the exit.

As they went outside, the cold chill of the night air made its way through Tsukasa's lungs and made him shiver ever-so-slightly.

Stars shone up in the night sky, silver dots on a black background as the moon casted a silver light over the small parking lot.
There were still a few people out and about. Some on their nightly stroll, Tsukasa guessed, some out with family and friends... and yet none of them suspected nor cared as to what they were doing.

It was honestly kind of surprising.
This was nothing like those scenes in detective movies, where everyone would be all surprised and shocked and scared and calling the police.
A few people looked over at them in confusion, but continued walking a few seconds later.

*I suppose it kinda makes sense* Tsukasa thought *It's 2AM, still super dark, and most people are probably too tired to care.*

"Wait a second..." Natsuki looked to her far right, past Twilight who was standing next to her.
Tsukasa looked in the same direction as Natsuki, and there he saw a girl with yellow hair tied in a pony tail, tie— yep it was none other than Akita Neru. And next to her? A... number? Oh, right, One. A blue number one with only legs and no arms standing next to her. Since when did numbers exists in this crossover fanfic???

Neru was in Tsukasa's grade, but she skipped class often so he didn't see her very much.
Neru was on her phone like usual, it was what she used to talk after all, except now she was stealing glances at him, Natsuki, and Twilight.
Did she see the 3 of them walk out of the building...?

Quiet beeps and boops were heard from her phone as Neru continued to steal glances at the 3.
"...Is that girl snitching on us??" Natsuki mumbled questioningly, her eyes narrowing with a slight hint of anger, putting her hand on her hip.

Twilight looked over at Neru aswell, and looked back at Natsuki.
"No, of course not! No one else cares, so I don't see why she would." Twilight shook her head.

"...Twilight she's literally looking up at us, then at the suspiciously number 1 shaped... person, then typing something on her phone. I'm pretty sure she's calling the police."

Tsukasa cleared his throat. He was starting to get nervous.
"Listen! Even if she is, I'm sure we'll be fine!" Tsukasa tried to reassure both himself and the others. "Let's just continue walking..." Tsukasa suggested, already speed walking toward the park.

Twilight and Natsuki looked at eachother and followed Tsukasa, unease hanging in the air.

After a few minutes of akward silence, Tsukasa decided to say something to stop the silence from continuing on.

Tsukasa fake yawned, stretching his arms over his head before placing them on his hips.
"Man, I'm tired..."
"Yeah, we all are." Natsuki pointed out, her embarrassed demeanor immediantly disappearing
"Eh, I guess that's to be expected." Tsukasa answered, not knowing what else to say.

The atmosphere remained akward until they finally got to the park, the 3 sitting on a nearby bench. They placed their stolen goods in a little pile next to them.

"Ugh... I *really* hope that girl didn't call the police on us. Natsuki worried, her eyes narrowing.

"Don't worry!" Tsukasa tried his best to smile at Natsuki, trying to calm her down. "It'll be fi—"

***WEEWOOWEEWOOWEEWOO—***
Natsuki, Twilight, and Tsukasa all collectively looked at eachother.
"Shit..." Twilight mumbled.

"SEE!?" Natsuki yelled. "I *TOLD* YOU THAT PISS-HAIRED BITCH CALLED THE POLICE ON US! WHAT A *SNITCH—*"

"HEY! YOU THREE! THE ONES WITH THE 15 REESE'S PUFFS BOXES! YOU'RE UNDER ARREST FOR REESE'S PUFFS RELATED SHOPLIFTING!"

*how the hell did he know he stole 15 of them!?*

A police officer, which Tsukasa later recognized to be the Burger King mascot, stepped out of his police car and ran toward them—
Wait.
Burger King mascot!?

"Wait a second!" Tsukasa yelled, and the burger king mascot paused. Him, Twilight and Natsuki gave him a curious look.

Tsukasa cleared his throat. "If you don't mind me asking... weren't you working at Burger King a week ago?" Tsukasa asked.

"Oh, uhh.." The Burger King mascot scratched the back of his neck. "Well... I got fired." The Burger King mascot looked down to his feet, embarrassed.

"Oh, uhh... we're sorry about that." Twilight said, looking at Tsukasa and Natsuki then at the parking lot behind them, then back at them. "Do you want to talk about it?"

The Burger King mascot nodded sadly. "You see, i was literally *made* to be my job! They *made* me to work for them! They didn't even pay me well but I loved my job so I stayed anyway! Like, my name is LITERALLY 'The Burger King mascot'! I can't *believe* they just..."

While The Burger King Mascot was lost in his trance of venting about his current problems with Burger King, Twilight pulled Natsuki and Tsukasa close to her.
"Listen. When I say run to Tsukasa's house, follow me. It's the closest one here. We're going to hide there 'til morning, alright?" Twilight whispered. Tsukasa and Natsuki nodded hastily and Twilight immediantly looked back at The Burger King Mascot.

"...I guess I should just change my name to Mascot... or Burger? No, King sounds *way* better..."

"Go!" Twilight whisper-yelled, immediantly galloping toward the sidewalk on the other side of the street and to the direction of Tsukasa's house.
Without looking if The Burger King mascot noticed their absence, Natsuki and Tsukasa sprinted after the purple alicorn.

"...I'm just *so* unbelievably sad that it happened, It's like a piece of me just—" The Burger King mascot looked around for Tsukasa, Twilight, and Natsuki, buf they were already gone. The Burger King mascot sighed. "Not even the shoplifters want to listen to me... I'm nothing without my status :(."

By the time The Burger King mascot finished talking, Tsukasa, Twilight and Natsuki already arrived at Tsukasa'a house.
Tsukasa hastily grabbed his keys and unlocked the door while Natsuki repeatedly told him to hurry up.

They stepped inside and Tsukasa quickly closed the door begind him, locking it.
"Phew... thank God we got away..." Tsukasa breathed, out of breath.

Twilight took a moment to catch her breath, breathing heavily.
"Yeah... By the way, did you two get the Reese's Puffs?" Twilight asked, sitting down on the ground.

Oh. Right. The entire reason they went on a heist at 2AM while at easy risk of getting caught.

***THE GOD DAMN REESE'S PUFFS!***
"So, about that..." Tsukasa started
"We forgot them. It would've taken too long to go by and snatch them without The Burger King mascot spotting us." Natsuki interrupted, crossing her arms over her chest like she always did.

"...Right." Twilight said, looking away with the slightest hint of annoyance, then looking back again. "So... what do we do now?"

Tsukasa thought for a second. He was starting to get a little hungry by now, and the others probably were, too.

"I could grab something from the kitchen to eat!" Tsukasa exclaimed, not awaiting an answer as he walked to the kitchen, Twilight and Natsuki following him.

Tsukasa's shoes clacked against the porcelain floor as he made his way to the fridge, opening it.

Gasp! In the fridge there was...
Absolutely nothing.

Yeah, the fridge was empty.

"...Oh." Tsukasa sighed. Both because he couldn't eat something to fill up his empty stomach, but also 'cause he kinda embarrassed himself in front of his friends. "Man... I could've *sworn* I went grocery shopping with my parents and Saki a few days back..."

"Yeah, or your fatass ate it all." Natsuki chimed in.
"HEY! I WOULD *NOT—*" Tsukasa yelled, before—

"SHUSH!" Twilight yelled, stomping her hoof on the porcelain floor. "We can just, y'know... go out to eat?" Twilight suggested.

"Wellz why can't we just cook something?"
Natsuki asked, putting a hand on her hip.

"Well..." Twilight pointed a hoof at Tsukasa "*You* can't cook." Twilight then pointed her hoof at Natsuki ", and *you* only *bake*."
"For your information, I *can* in fact cook!" Tsukasa denied the pony's claim.
Him not being able to cook!? Absurd!
Tsukasa's cooked for both his little sister and family *countless* times, how could Twilight insult him like that!

"...Alright, fine. If you say so... I still wanna get take out instead. I heard there's this McDonalds that recently opened up..." Twilight said, shrugging her wings.

While Tsukasa didn't necessarily *like* take out all that much, he had to admit a burger once in a while was fine, and it's not like he had the time to make an entire meal for the 3 of them, nor did he want to dirty up a bunch of dishes.

"You know what, fine. Let's just wait until it's a little earlier in the morning." Tsukasa checked the clock on the wall.
5 am.
"How about we just relax for a bit and then go to the McDonalds at 6am?"
Tsukasa suggested, and the girls nodded in agreement.

After about 30 minutes of just talking, the 3 set off toward the newly opened McDonalds.
It was about 3 blocks away from Tsukasa's house, not too far away.

Tsukasa, Natsuki, and Twilight walked toward the entrance, the doors automatically sliding open in front of them as they stepped inside.
Inside, the McDonalds looked about as typical as you'd expect a McDonalds to look like. Nothing all that special about it.

An anthro chipmunk stood at the cash register, taking order after order from customers, said customers walking away seemingly angrily.

"What do you *MEAN* you only sell waffles!? A blue Seawing with the royal pattern beneath her wings yelled, flaring up her wings in anger.
"YEAH! This is a *McDonalds*, after all! Give me 'n Tsunami our damn order!" A short girl with long, oversized sleeves and pink hair yelled aswell, Tsukasa recognized her as Akira Kogami, mainly because she appeared in a show he often watched on the TV before school.
What was it called... Lucky Channel? Yeah, that was it.

It was surprising to see her in person, even more surprising to see her yelling at the poor Chipmunk at the cash register.

"I'm sorry, y'all... but my 2 other co-workers are on break right now, and I can only really make waffles, ehe..."

"That is the most mouse-brained thing I've ever heard in my life." A sandy colored cat behind Akira and the blue Seawing who was seemingly named Tsunami hissed, glaring at the chipmunk.

Akira looked over at the sandy colored cat, crossing her arms over her chest "Last time I checked, you weren't *part* of this conversation, SANDSTORM!" Akira shouted passive-aggressively. Tsunami just looked annoyed.

"H-Hey! I was trying to defend you!" Sandstorm shouted back, digging— or atleast, attempting to, dig her nails into the smooth porcelain floor.
Akira ignored her and looked back at the chipmunk at the cash register, already preparing another argument.

"Ma'am!" The chipmunk exclaimed before Akira could spit out another insult. "I have to ask y'all to leave!"
Akira rolled her eyes and left the McDonalds, Tsunami following her.
Sandstorm stepped toward the cash register.

"No, you're leaving too." The chipmunk said, narrowing her eyes at Sandstorm.
"...Alright fine." Sandstorm stepped out of the McDonalds aswell, leaving the McDonalds empty... except for Twilight, Tsukasa and Natsuki standing near the entrance, of course.

"So... are we still going to order? They've got nothing but waffles right now..." Twilight mumbled—
But Tsukasa and Natsuki walked toward the order desk thingy (idfk hows that shi even called ugh im too tired 4 ts)
Twilight groaned and followed.

The chipmunk looked honestly tired to be here, despite that she immediantly put on a tired yet friendly customer service smile.
"Hello, welcome to McDonalds! All we have right now are waffles, so..."

"Wait— Weffle!?" Natsuki exclaimed.
*does Natsuki know her?* Tsukasa pondered.
"Uhh... Oh! Natsuki! Hello!" Weffle exclaimed aswell, waving a paw in greeting.
"Hm, since when did you work at McDonalds?" Natsuki asked "Last time I saw you, you were still working at that one waffle place."

"Well... about that..." Weffle laughed nervously, scratching the back of her head. "It... kind of closed down a few weeks back, so I had to go get a new job. But hey, atleast y'all can get my delicious waffles here at this only McDonalds location in whole of... uh... this place!" Weffle explained with a smile. "Buuuuut that's enough explaining! What would y'all like to order?"

"Hmm..." Twilight hummed. "Maybe the—"
"55 WAFFLES." Natsuki shouted.
"...Right. On it." Weffle went to the back, and Natsuki, Tsukasa, and Twilight waited.

After a few minutes of waiting, Weffle came back with about 6 boxes of takeout filled to the brim with waffles... hopefully.

The 3 thanked Weffle and walked out of the McDonalds.
"...Wait." Weffle froze. "Y'ALL DIDN'T PAY!!!!"

"So, wanna go with our original plan with the Reese's Puffs and just go chill at the park?" Twilight suggested, carrying a few boxes on her back.

"Sure!"
