Lily stands in front of the door to the Ravenclaw dorms and grabs onto the knocker, knocking three times. She's really excited to take her girlfriend out on a date to hogsmeade, so she hopes the riddle is not too hard.
"What has a head and a tail but no body?" The magical door asks.
This is an easy riddle, one that Lily has heard many times. "A coin!" She answers, glad that it's so simple.
The door swings open, allowing Lily to step inside. She sees Pandora sitting on one of the blue couches, tying the laces on her light blue mary janes.
The blonde haired girl looks up. "Lily!" She exclaims, forgetting about the task at hand, and trying to stand up.
"Woah, there," Lily laughs, holding Pandora up as she stumbles over her half-laced shoes. "Hi, love," she greets, helping her girlfriend sit back down.
Pandora smiles up at her, then leans back down to continue lacing her shoes. "I'm very excited for our date," she tells Lily.
"Me too," Lily says. "It's been awhile, since we've both been so busy with classes."
Pandora doesn't seem to mind. They see eachother often enough, whether that be at Slug Club, parties, or just Lily trying to prevent Pandora from getting into dangerous situations with her experiments.
She springs up from her seat, grabs Lily's hand, and leans in to kiss her cheek. Then she pulls away, smiles, and exclaims, "Let's go!"
Together, the two girls walk through the Hogwarts halls, and down to the pathway to Hogsmeade.
Suddenly, Pandora stops walking, staring off into the distance. Lily looks behind herself and sees this, so she quickly rushes back to her girlfriend. "What's wrong?" Lily asks, concerned.
Pandora shakes her head, as if trying to get rid of a bad thought. "N– nothing," she stutters. "I just... I think I've dreamt about this."
"You've dreamt of this?" Lily questions. She knows that her girlfriend is a seer, but she doesn't usually have visions involving them– or Hogsmeade.
Pandora nods. "I'm sure it's nothing," she decides. "Don't worry, it was a very sweet dream."
"Well, that's good," Lily agrees, feeling relieved.
In response, Pandora wraps an arm around Lily's waist, and they continue down the path to Hogsmeade.
They end up at Honeydukes, and start trying a bunch of sweets. Pandora pops a taffy into her mouth, and it makes her blush all the way to her ears– or maybe that's because of Lily kissing her cheek.
"You're just as sweet as this shop," Pandora compliments, smiling at Lily. "That's a part of why I love you."
Lily smiles back, grinning from ear to ear. "I love you too, Panda."
The two end up walking out of the shop with two full bags of sweets. They bought way too much, and will probably end up sharing most of it with their friends.
Now, they're walking into The Three Broomsticks, where they can see Remus and Sirius sitting in one of the booths in the corner. The boys don't pay any attention to them– how typical– so they're probably planning a new prank.
Pandora takes a seat at one of the tables and puts their bags of sweets in one of the extra chairs. Meanwhile, Lily walks up to the counter and orders two butter beers.
While she's waiting for the barista to make the beers, Evan approaches her. "Hey, Lily," he whispers.
"Hey?" She questions.
"I finished setting it up," Evan tells her.
For a second, Lily is confused. Then, she remembers that she asked Pandora's brother to set up the next part of their date. "Oh! Thanks, Evan," she whispers back, not wanting Pandora to overhear them.
Evan gives her a fistbump, then walks back out of the bar. Lily turns and sees that the barista has finished the butter beers, so she takes them and brings them back to the table that Pandora is sitting at.
"Woah," Pandora says as Lily sets the mugs down.
Lily sits down, taking a sip of the drink. "What?" She asks.
"It's just... today keeps getting more and more like my dream," Pandora answers, then takes a sip of butter beer. "It's nice, though."
Lily nods. "Well, after this, I have one more thing planned. I think you're going to like it."
Pandora hums in response, sipping on her butter beer. Hopefully she doesn't already know about Lily's plan.
Lily leads Pandora down to the Black lake, covering her eyes with her hands. Laid out in front of them is a pink gingham blanket with a package of strawberries on it. Along with a few other snacks stolen from the Hogwarts kitchens.
"Open!" Lily exclaims, taking her hands off of Pandora's face.
Pandora gasps, looking down at the picnic set up just for them. "Wow, Lils, this is amazing!" She sets the bags of sweets down, then turns around and traps Lily in a bone crushing hug.
"I love you so much," Lily gasps out, desperately trying to breathe properly.
Pandora gets the memo and backs away. She sits down on the blanket and pats the spot next to her.
Lily sits down as well and opens the plastic strawberry package. "Yesterday I caught James trying to sneak these away from the kitchens," She explains, "I told him that I wouldn't get him in trouble as long as he gave them to me so I could use them for our date."
At the same time, Pandora says, "You got them from James when he snuck into the kitchens yesterday."
Lily looks up at her. "How did you know?"
"My dream," Pandora answers.
The two giggle about it, then share a few strawberries, their hands brushing against each other on the blanket. Even after two years of dating, they're still so nervous about affection.
"Thank you for this," Pandora says, watching the sunset. "It's been really nice."
"Of course. You're welcome." Lily smiles. "We really needed this."
Pandora turns, and kisses Lily. "We did," she whispers against her lips.
They share a few more sweet kisses. Today was a very successful date.
