Summary
The dawn of this year’s social season in London is on the horizon, and esteemed physician Dr. Michael Robinavitch finds himself in desperate need of an assistant to ease his workload as he prepares to navigate an influx of ailments and ambitious mamas alike.
After a blighted harvest on their farm leaves his family destitute, Dennis Whitaker is sent to Mayfair in search of work and a wage that he can send back home to support them. When he spots an advertisement seeking an assistant at the local physician’s office, it seems almost too good to be true.
Drawn together by chance, two souls form an attachment that defies everything that society expects from them.
