Your apartment is pretty far away from campus, so that combined with the age of the building, you got a good price for rent
The building is a 45-50 minute walk from main campus, or a 5 minute walk to the bus station and a 20 minute bus ride
The busses run once every hour from 6:30am-10:30pm
The 50 minute walk takes you though a kinda sketchy part of town, but the only thing sketchy about it is you have to walk the street in between a large construction site and a forested park area where there are no street lights and a non-existent sidewalk
You are on the 3rd floor of your apartment building and the last apartment in your row
There is a main lobby that has an elevator that can open up onto the exterior hallway, but it is almost always out of order, so you unusually walk up the exterior staircase
Your couch was your first big purchase and you spent a long time figuring out which one you wanted. So now you are a bit paranoid of anyone spilling anything on it as you don’t want it to stain.
You found your small dining table on the side of the road and managed to drag it 27 minutes back to your apartment before one of your neighbors, who you never saw again, helped you carry it up the 3 flights of stairs.
The heater/towel warmer in your bathroom starts to rattle if you leave it on for too long.
