Out of all the things that’ve happened during his time in America so far, meeting up with his boyfriend and his troupe members at the airport was the one of the things that Akito hadn’t expected. Though to be fair, he hadn’t really expected any of the other events that devolved within the last few days to happen either but this one wasn’t even up for consideration. Even so, Akito wasn’t complaining about it. How could he when it was basically one of the only good things to have happened lately?
The entire thing was impulsive, unplanned thanks to Tsukasa’s late notice. Though like the ginger had promised him, he’ll make it work. He always does. It’s probably the mindset that he should be having for the situation he got himself into with the rest of the American performers. It’s a mess, and Akito knows that like always — he’d find a way out of it but right now, it wasn’t so wrong to want a little distraction from everything, right? There definitely was no better distraction than Tsukasa and his troupe of fools.
Waking up early in the morning to get to the airport wasn’t an issue, Akito was used to getting up early anyways. Wonderlands X Showtime had already gotten off the plane, and there was a strong gnawing feeling in his chest, oddly nervous about meeting Tsukasa for the first time in a long while. While the other An and Kohane were chatting quietly in the back of the cab, Toya was busy with his phone up in the front seat — most likely texting Rui. Akito fiddled with his phone in his hand, staring out the window and watching the surroundings pass him by blankly while thoughts burned in his mind. It really shouldn’t be this nerve-wracking, but it was and he hates it.
Between the accusations and having to deal with them, Akito’s time in America had become nothing but stressful all of a sudden. He wanted nothing more than to get just a moment to ease his mind and maybe this way the chance. He doesn’t know what exactly the show trope had on their itinerary for their first day here, but knowing them — it couldn't be anything short of fun. It was probably best for him to push all those annoying thoughts aside for now, stopping them from swarming around in his head like a bunch of annoying flies. He’s about to see his boyfriend, for real, right in front of his eyes. Why’s he still worrying about stupid, dumb things?
“Where are they, where are they? Do you see them?” An looked around the busy airport, even more excited than Akito himself. To be fair, Akito was excited, he just wasn’t showing it as much as the blue-haired girl was. “Hmm, I don’t think so.. but Kamishiro-san said that they’re around here, right?” Kohane murmured. The rest of them were looking around too, eyes scanning the sea of people around them as they stood next to a souvenir store. Everyone passing by them seemed so busy, each with their own places to get to, with their own things to do. Oddly enough, as chaotic it was searching for certain people within the crowd, it felt calming to see people make their way through, carving a path to their own destinations.
“Hey wait, I think that’s!—”
“IS THAT MY LOVELY AMAZING BOYFRIEND?!!”
Before Akito could even turn his head to where An was pointing, he heard a very, very familiar voice boom out through the space.
He almost wished that he could disappear into the ground right about now.
Instinctively, his feet moved. Akito wasn’t even aware that he was practically storming his way over to Tsukasa before his hand met Tsukasa’s face, staring into those sunset coloured eyes with a blazing fire in his own olive ones. Though, the way he looked at Tsukasa wasn’t all that scary at all. If anything, it was more soft than anything. A look that said “I missed you” without the words having to come out of his mouth. “How—” Akito’s own out-of-breathness caught himself off guard, taking a deep breath to get himself together. “How many times have I told you not to do that..” A bright red flush painted Akito’s face now, embarrassed over the fact that Tsukasa had just so loudly called him his boyfriend in front of both of their friends, and approximately at least a hundred different strangers around them in a foreign airport.
Though, don’t get him wrong. Akito wasn’t embarrassed about being Tsukasa’s boyfriend at all.That’s the one part he’d never be embarrassed about.
Behind Tsukasa, he sees Nene and Kamishiro-san both holding in their laughter and he knows that the rest of Vivid Bad Squad behind him probably had the same expressions on their faces right now. An’s definitely going to laugh about this in his face all day. Akito quickly moves his hand away from Tsukasa’s mouth, calming himself down to properly look at the blonde now. Wow. All of the previous thoughts melted away immediately, replaced with Tsukasa. Tsukasa who was right in front of him right now and not behind the screen of his phone. “Hello, Akito.” It’s weird, Akito could feel himself smiling like an idiot right now and there was nothing he could do to stop it. “Hi, Tsukasa.”
