    Grace's [esophagus] makes that undulating motion again, rippling through his entire bodily plan. His [coughing] — a forceful expelling of it's air to clear it's passage of irritants — is wetter, this time. Somehow. I tap at the floor restlessly.

    On one limb, my own: it is grotesque. Grace has not lied to me about how… plainly, how gross this process is. Surely even more so in person. Even now, my carapace is shivering slightly, buzzing with the need to sub-vocalize. On the other four, if Grace has not lied about that, then it stands to reason that he has not lied about how it will ease his feeling. And if there is anything in this empty, lonely universe I want more than anything, it is for Grace to be okay. To feel better.

    OR: Grace gets sick off a bad batch of Taumoeba. Rocky helps him throw up and is very, incredibly normal about the whole thing.
