Chapter Text
“It’s been 230 years since the incident” Ivan said to himself, he was getting ready for his morning walk through the park to feed his murder of crows. He was putting on his long black autumn coat as a gold locket fell out of his pocket, he opened it to look at a family picture of him and his baby sister Sua. A tear danced down his cheek as he closed the locket and put it back in his pocket. He opened his apartment door and walked out, locking it behind him
He then walked through the alley it happened; it was an old brick alleyway clearly older than 200 years; Ivan still remembered that night, he was simply going to buy herbs from a medic for his sick mother when that beast had stalked him and bitten him, making him what he is now… a vampire with no soul and who can’t bleed nor age, not anymore.
He walked by a flower shop to buy a bouquet of white roses and then went by a willow tree which was an unmarked grave for his mother and sister. He stayed there for a few minutes as he ate a bun of bread next to the tree,
after that Ivan went straight into the heart of the park, his murder already following in the trees, he’s been feeding this specific murder for generations now they basically see him as a member. Ivan than spotted an empty bench where he sat down and out of his bag, he took a package which had the food for his crows, he threw the mix of minced meat and seeds on the floor and the crows immediately fought over the mix, he loved befriending the crows because it gave him a routine and sense of normality. The crows were the only thing that gave Ivan’s bloodless heart a slight sense of feeling.
While Ivan was enjoying watching the crows and talking to them, he felt as if he was boiling and he noticed his skin had started to peel; this was when Ivan realised he hadn’t put on any sunscreen or brought his parasol.
“shit” Ivan said now panicked; he knew his curse would simply make him a walking burned corpse; he jolted up and started to sprint too the only place that had his antidote the local butchery.
“Hey there Ivan, looking sharp!” said Dewey the local butcher “quite the sunburn you got there, eh?” “Just shut up and give me the usual!” said a panicked Ivan “not even a hello? Come onn Ivan” Dewey said sarcastically, “shut your mouth and just hurry up!” Ivan screamed clearly distressed “woah alright, man” Dewey had said while walking into the back of the shop where he kept Ivan’s usual, he than walked out with a big bag of blood, pig’s blood. It wasn’t as efficient as human blood, but Ivan refused to take another life accidentally or not.
Ivan ripped the bag out of Dewey’s hands, and he ripped it open like a wolf tearing open its prey, the blood spilling over the shop as Ivan chugged it all in a matter of seconds “hey!” said Dewey “not in my shop, that’s disgusting” Dewey said holding back vomit. Ivan simply gave Dewey a big lot of money “keep the change” said Ivan walking out thee shop and jogging home, his skin already healing and patching up leaving just a few redder sunburn spots on Ivan’s pale cold skin.
