“I’m gonna take care of you, okay? Even if you hear voices like Paul, and gotta crawl into my bed when you’re in your fifties, I’m gonna look after you.” Viktor probably won’t hear voices. Probably. Probably something about vampirism that cancels all that out, right? It’s not going to happen.
But if it does, then Louis will spend his immortal life taking care of his son. How could he ever see him as anything but this tiny baby, sleeping safe and secure in his daddy’s arms while his maman gets some rest, his sister downstairs and eager for the chance to meet him properly.
“I’ll look after you,” he says again. “And your Maman. And your sister. I’ll look after you all, I promise.”
