Work Text:

I walk through the city streets, lights reflecting off the wet brick of the road. I'm not sure where I'm going. If I'm running, if I'm looking for home, if I'm just... just... going.
I read the road sign, Alameda, I've been here before but only in passing. If I see it again I'll think that again because I'm just passing this time too.
I should sit down, hail a taxi, I don't want to be alone in the car with someone though. I don't want to be alone... I am alone...
Just alone in passing though; I'm just passing through. I'll be off this street eventually, I'll take a turn, yeah, here's another road here, Jefferson.
There are houses on this street. I'm still alone.
Alone in the fog, I heard they name the fog in LA, I wonder if that makes them less alone. I think I might name this fog... what's a name... what's my name?
This street has a name, Jefferson, was that my name too? No, no, that can't be right. What was the other street the one... Alma? Amanda? No, no what's my name? Do I have a name?
I should go home. It's not good to be alone. It's getting dark and I can't see through the fog. Where was I going?
Was I running? I should be heading for home. Where was I going? Or was I just... just going?
