Chapter Text

Not too long ago I was testing my limits. I've seen Ricks that’ve been able to transform into animals for a certain amount of time, and it intrigued me. Whispers of turkey Rick and Morty were passed around the citadel during my time there.  I'm not fond of complimenting his work but admittedly it’s impressive.

It popped up in my head once and then it was all I could think about. I want to do something like that.. I wanna be an animal. This must be puberty.

Sooner or later I actually did it. I could turn myself into a cat! At the time I wholeheartedly believed this was all I ever wanted, and all I needed to achieve. Looking back, thinking about it makes me cringe. Even so, I keep the formula for the transformation in my pocket. Maybe it’d come in handy for something other than my boredom.

Thankfully, it did. Kinda. Not really.

I’m evil morty, not usain bolt. These robot dogs are way faster than you think they are. I rolled into a conveniently placed alleyway and started doing what those would call bullshit. Once I emerged from the narrow walls,
“mrow”
I laid paws out in front of me and stretched, like nothing happened. I’ve only done this a handful of times, so this body was still foreign to me.

I heard the sounds of mechanical whirring approach me. I sat still, even tossed up my paw, all cute. Unfortunately, cuteness wasn’t what drove dogs. I didn’t connect the dots that a cat in a dog world wouldn’t fly over smoothly. I guess this was just an excuse to use the stupid cat transformation I wasted so much time on..

I rolled my eyes the best I could once I heard them charging up some laser. Whatever. I dove back into the alleyway to find the portal gun that I should’ve used a while ago, something morty would do.. The barking of the dogs quickly vanished once I stepped through my portal.

Honestly, I spun a wheel when choosing coordinates. But It didn’t take long to figure out where I was once I recognized a high school. Morty’s high school.
