   Summary

   “Courtland, please!” Ryland begs, sobbing on the ground for forgiveness. His older brother stares back at him with a broken demeanor, fractured into frustration, sadness, and disappointment. Raindrops begin to fall from the gray sky, gently washing away the blood of Dan’s broken goggles cast off nearby in the explosion, but not enough to extinguish the flames behind Healy’s dead body. Court gets back up. Ryland instinctively holds out his arm in front of his face in case he chose to strike again, but he just keeps walking. Tears continue to stream down his face as he panics, “C-court! COURTLAND! CORY, please come back!” When he doesn't turn around, Ryland stares at the only living person left in the alley.

   He lunges at his twin brother’s shoes. “COLT! Please stay! Please don’t leave me! COLTON!”
