Chapter Text
-> Each chapter is a different work.
->All of these were written around high school age.
->If you see a mistake (be it grammatical, bad taste, or otherwise) please tell me.
->If you like the premise of a story enough, and would actually come back to read it, you can totally ask me to revise/rewrite/finish it.
Chapter Contents are as follows:
Ch2: "Molten Immortality"
Inspired by the Greek myth of Talos (This is a great entry video to the story :D ) and written during my Frankenstein phase (highly recc Frankenstein by Mary Shelley). A robot built to guard the perimeter of a high-end club begins to notice it's surroundings --people's habits and the natural world around it-- and becomes aware. This was for my "Rewrite a Classic Fairytale" assignment in Creative Writing.
Finished; teacher and peer reviewed; 3rd Person Limited POV; ~2k words
Ch3: "The White Elephant Exchange"
Janine's been living under a ̶w̶h̶o̶l̶e̶ ̶a̶h̶h̶ ̶m̶o̶u̶n̶t̶a̶i̶n̶ rock until she got her new office job. When her unit's Project Leader organizes a "not-mandatory" White Elephant Exchange for the upcoming Christmas season, she completely misunderstands and begins trying to locate her own (real) white elephant. Alex, Janine's co-worker and unknown sworn enemy, notices Janine planning something big and seeks to out compete her with the coolest office gift. This was half of my Creative Writing midterm.
Finished but rushed; sorta teacher and peer reviewed but there's still grammar mistakes because I made them read it 5 minutes before deadline, oops; 1st person POV; switching POV (two people); ~7k words
Ch4: "White Cat Witch"
A young witch is trying to summon a familiar before her coven meeting later that day, but she keeps failing. She summons a sweet songbird instead of a grim raven, a frog when she tried for a toad, and a little mouse when she wanted a crooked rat. In her last attempt before leaving she summons wrong again, finding a white cat curled up in her cauldron. She shoos the mistake out before leaving for her coven meeting with a only basket of baked goods and not a familiar...or does she? This was my Creative Writing final, it's supposed to be a illustrated children's book, so its in rhyming stanzas and I might attach the page sketches if i can find them..(be nice to the art it was also rushed ;-;)
Sorta finished but I'm still not satisfied with the takeaways; teacher and peer reviewed; 3rd person omniscient POV; ~1k words
Ch5: "Boybands, Fate, and Other Steps to Madness"
Jorge wants nothing more than to start his own boyband this summer, but his family was cursed to never succeed in boyband-ing. Nonetheless, he fixes up his Tío's old instruments and posts fliers all over town to collect friends for the band. Yet his plans are foiled again and again. Jorge continues to battle foes and seek out allies for his boyband as he races against time to form the band before summer ends. This was a "Find your YA novel title" name/birthmonth/birthday type writing post, that's how I got the name and idea.
Unfinished; self reviewed; 3rd person limited POV; ~2k words
Ch6: "Published Poetry"
Poetry written for and published in my school's yearly magazine or monthly zines. Varying levels of skill...
??mystery stats??
Further chapters to come...
