Well, yeah, I just finished the Sherlock series in like 6 days because I can. I know some ppl aren't happy with S4 and the finale, but I loved it! It blew my head over and over, so I was hesitant to came on contact with the fandom, but I fell in love with the duet scene and wanted to see more about it. I've been talking to myself about the Holmes siblings (which is probably smart to not insert a ranting into another ranting so won't say it rn), and I think the gap between siblings can be important. Usually those that have a large gap as the older are seen to be the protectors, and those who share a small gap like Sherlock and Eurus's are closer. Thinking on the present, Sherlock may be drawn to the sister he found he needed to protect at their childhood home. Probably Mycroft didn't had such frequent visits like Sherlock does at the end of the episode, and didn't show any signs of going off his way to see and try to be with Eurus (even though he's a very busy man, being the British Goverment and older brother to the two most problematic people you could find in the country, without counting Moriarty, and having to clean several of their messes) so probably Eurus didn't feel he was doing an effort on being her brother, something that now probably happens with Sherlock, and hopefully Mycroft too. We see him going frequently to visit her, just to play the violin. I just wanted so bad to see them bonding, knowing the details of Sherlock feeling protective of her and Eurus responding to him, as opposing of ignoring him like to everyone else.
So, even tho this rant was to get some of this stuff off my brain and go to sleep, a TL;DR would be: the age gap between Sherlock and Euler is small enough to give me hope of those two bonding and being as-proper-siblings-you-can-be-while-being-a-Holmes, while Mycroft protecting them both as he has been all this time, but now we know he's got a heart. Basing this on my 6 year age gap on my brother and watching the knit-close relationship of my friend and her 2 years older sister? Totally.
Plus, I checked the Spanish dub of the serie after watching it full English and it's awful. I just couldn't match the sound and the mouths moving, and this season's change was even more horrible. Could barely understand it without subs, but I will always watch it with the original sound. To finish, I don't think many authors check my comments when I make a bookmark, I'll still apologize for this big rant in the bookmarks on your fic, dear author. It's just, your fic was exactly what I was searching for and I had to explain it to myself for when I went through my bookmarks and write it down. Probably not even making any sense at this point, but I guess I insist on sleeping late
