   Summary

“ "It came from the house at the end." Iida said as they turned the corner onto Midoriya's street. He felt his blood practically freeze in his veins as he registered the address. Using his quirk, he rocketed ahead of his group, landing on his own doorstep in front of the destroyed door. He stepped inside just in time to see the villain holding his mom hostage.

Just in time to hear the sickening crack of her neck.”

Or: Izuku believes he failed his mother when she dies at the hands of a villain.
