“Bite me,” Josh had said.
And who is Oliver to not oblige?
Perched on top of him, Josh’s hands slowly stroking over his back, holding him close.
Oliver giggles. “You sure?” He runs his thumb over the supple, pleasing skin of Josh's neck, right near his pulse point.
Josh nearly pouts at the question. “Yes, I’m sure. It won’t hurt me, you can’t hurt me.”He presses a sweet kiss to Oliver's chest for good measure.
And so Oliver parts his lips, letting his canines pull down as he gets closer, and closer, his teeth sinking into Josh’s skin—
Nothing happens.
Oliver tries again, releasing his teeth, going down for another.
It’s just making a vague impression in Josh’s skin.
And now this feels a lot less sexy than he thought it would be.
“I’m not feeling anything,” Josh comments.
Oliver shoots him a glare. “No shit, I told you this wouldn’t work. I don’t drink blood. My teeth aren’t as sharp as you think they are.”
“But you eat rinds of fruit like it’s no problem.”
“Because that’s what they’re made for, it’s not like I’m biting into flesh.” Oliver pokes Josh in the chest. “Also, you’re a werewolf, how tough do you think your skin is? It’s more than you think.”
Josh shifts against the pillows, a ridiculously satisfied grin spreading across his face. "So what you're saying is... I'm immune to vampires."
"That’s not true given that you’re sleeping with me," Oliver grumbles, dropping himself onto Josh’s hips, sitting up with an annoyed huff. “But what I’m saying is your skin is thick—that’s probably why your skull is too—and my canines are shaped to puncture figs, or apples— fruit! Not my hot werewolf boyfriend!”
Josh lets out a chuff of a noise, the tip of his tail swishing against Oliver’s hip. His hand comes up to rest on the back of Oliver's neck, his fingers gently scuffing through the soft hair at the base of his scalp. "You think I’m hot.”
Oliver flushes, his cheeks dusting an embarrassing red. “That doesn’t matter! I ruined the mood— mood is officially ruined.”
“I don’t know, I think it’s pretty cute. I’m still up for it if you are. There’s a lot more than biting that we can try.” Josh leans up, his voice low, right against Oliver’s ear. “And I want to try. Do you still want to try, Oliver?”
Oliver feels even more heat creep up his neck at that. A buzzy chitter escapes his lips too. “Uh— yeah. Yes.”
“Good,” Josh praises, dragging another long kiss to Oliver’s jaw, soothing the skin there with his tongue before making his way up to Oliver’s mouth again.
Oliver returns the kiss eagerly.
