This time, when the doppelganger spoke, it was Roman’s voice, grand and dramatic with his familiar flourish, “My first hear me out is a clone of myself! Of course!”Roman took a stumbling step back when his clone turned on a heel, stepping closer with a confident grin. Another step back and Roman found his back against the wall, eyes going wide as he was followed quickly by a hand identical to his landing right next to his head. By all accounts, they should be the same height, but something about Janus’ sheer confidence in his own frame made him loom over the real Roman.
“If you’re saying you wouldn’t,” Roman could only squirm a little, face heating as the clone leaned in closer, glancing deliberately down at Roman’s lips before trailing his eyes back up again to finish quoting him, “You’re lying. Isn’t that right, Roman?”
