Summary
luca domenico doesn't touch his students. he's built a reputation on it—six years of discipline, six years of arrogant young pianists trying their luck, six years of saying no.
kang pi-o is twenty one, stupidly talented, and the most infuriating student luca has ever taken. he plays like he's daring the piano to keep up. he talks like he wants to be shut up with a hand on his throat. three weeks of lessons and luca has done nothing but correct his posture and pretend not to notice the way pi-o looks at him.
they make a wager. if pi-o can play the piece clean while luca does everything in his power to distract him, luca owes him one hour. alone. whatever pi-o wants. if pi-o loses, he walks out and never comes back.
