    "Who are you?" Touya demanded. "What do you want?" He slowly slid his hand into his pocket and withdrew his knife; he would kill this stranger here if he must, and he would never breathe a word of it. The secret would live and die on the mountain.
    "I've been watching you, Touya," it said with a soft, unobtrusive voice. The stranger tilted its head, eyes unblinking. It lingered in the shadow of the trees for a moment, considering the knife, before it stepped forward under the moon's bright glow.

    Touya notices he's being followed. Things escalate rapidly.
