   It didn't hit Shane until he came face to face with the elevator that would take him back down to his room that he and Ilya hadn't kissed. The thought hit him like a flood capturing all of the good from the evening and turning it sour. So many thoughts ran through his brain in that single moment making him feel dizzy and overwhelmed. Why didn't they kiss? Did Ilya not want to kiss him? Why is it making me feel physically sick thinking that Ilya didn't kiss me tonight?
