Work Text:
Princess Luna's first impression of Fleur de Lis was that she looked almost exactly like her—before everything had gone wrong.
Elegant pink mane that fluttered at every step; clean white-ish coat with a spark of nobility; dreamy purple eyes with constellations in them; desirable kindness beneath their distant appearance. Everything fitted. Like a dream. A beautiful daydream that reminded Luna of the old, peaceful days when they had had each other—princess Celestia and princess Luna—the perfect pair of sisters that everyone had known about.
How precious; Luna thought to herself about that time, about the mare before her. Was it actually a friendship between two ponies and not one between a mare and her selfish imagination?
Maybe they were right. She was just a terrible pony after all.
