Summary
On screen, they were Karthi and Subbu, the two men who made a whole country cry.
Off screen, Rishikanth and Sananth were supposed to be just friends.
Rishi is the warm one. He hugs every fan, says yes to every photo and can't bear to disappoint anyone. Sananth is the guarded one, dry and watchful, with a lifetime of practice at wanting nothing too loudly. For fourteen months they have kept the same secret from each other, behind shared cab rides, borrowed jackets and a message that was written and deleted eleven times.
Then one humid Saturday night, a crowd closes in around them in a mall parking lot. A stranger's hand tugs at Rishi's shirt, and Sananth runs out of patience. He grabs Rishi's hand and drags him up a forbidden staircase, onto an unfinished floor above the city where nobody can see them.
What he says there can't be taken back.
