Technoblade has always been just a weapon to someone. A tool.
People use him to win their pointless wars just to instill another form of government, to take down someone they don't like or screwed them over, and just use his strength and connections time and time again. Because of this, Techno has become a bit of a loner, distancing himself from people due to having some trust issues. And yet people wonder why he's not great at social interaction.
Well, everyone except Phil, that is.
Philza came into Techno's life unexpectedly, and honestly, Techno is forever grateful that he did. They met when they were assigned as a team for a mini game event they were participating in. They clicked almost instantly and were a ruthless team together.
Techno was still weary about him at first, still not quite sure if Phil just keeps wanting to team up for stuff or go on adventures together just because he wants to use Techno. But that never happens. Phil could very easily hold himself in a fight or against mobs, so it's not like he needed to worry about Phil wanting to use him for that. He is also an anarchist so he also didn't need to worry about Phil using him to overthrow someone and then put someone else in power.
Plus, he was funny, and kind, and would handle the social interactions that Techno didn't want to. Sue him.
And now, many, many years later the two are still as close as ever. Phil had eventually told Techno about his immortality, explaining that he'd understand if Techno didn't want to be his friend anymore, but Techno just assures him that while he may not be immortal, Piglins have a very long lifespan so they've got time to spare.
They continue to fight through many wars together, taking over the world, starting an anarchist organization, and two friendship emeralds later, they're still as close as ever.
Techno said he'd give Phil the world, and he'll make good on that promise, for it's what the man deserves for coming into Techno's life.
He'd never trade him for the world.
