    Spoke felt his face go cold, and his heart sink to his chest. He saw the door open in the corner of his eye, and the light that spilled into the room from the hallway.

    He slowly turned his head, feeling Mapicc’s movements falter before halting to a complete stop. There, Spoke saw Commander.

    Standing in the doorway, and his expression unreadable,
