Grace makes a sad noise. “I’m sorry,” he says. He nuzzles against Rocky’s arm again. “I just thought– I know it’s gross to you, all the fluids I make, and I didn’t think you’d want to touch me like that. I can–” Muscles in his belly tighten, and Grace curls up with another cry of pain. “I can manage without it,” he pants. “It won’t kill me, it’s f–”
But Rocky is done listening. He grabs Grace by the waist and flips him onto his back, gratified at the way Grace’s heartbeat races in response.
“Grace.” He sings in his most serious register, hoping that his stupid, foolish human listens to him. “You do not need to suffer. I can take care of you. Let Rocky take care of you, question?”

While journeying to Erid, Grace runs out of suppressants and goes into heat. Rocky helps him.
