Tippy-Tappy Tails: A Street Pup's Thank You

Summary:

No pedigree, no price tag, just pure, unfiltered gratitude.

Hewwo hooman! Lookit my tiny nose,

Notes:

This little compilation was born out of a deep love for community dogs and street pups. Street dogs are incredibly resilient, brilliant, and fiercely loyal companions, yet they are so often overlooked.

I hope these verses bring a smile to your face, and perhaps inspire a little extra kindness toward the community animals in your own neighborhood.

Dedicated to the underdogs, the survivors, and the street-side kings.

Thank you so much

Cuddly and scruffy and full of good cheer.

Please let me join your family club!

And be the most wonder-ful, bestest surprise!

So scoop up this puppy and hold me so near,

Safe in your arms with nuffin' to fear.

Please do a rescue, adopt me today—

We do a big happy and play-play-play-play!

My paws are very tiny and my tail is quite small,

I am waiting patiently for someone to call.

Just a sweet street puppy looking for a friend,

Hoping my lonely days are coming to an end.

I will greet you at the doorway with a happy little bark,

And be your brightest light when the days are getting dark.

I promise to be good and learn all of your rules,

And love you much more than all the shiny jewels.

Please choose a rescue pup and bring me home today,

We can run around the yard and happily play.

A life full of adventures is waiting for us two,

This adorable puppy baby is ready just for you.

I came from nothing but the dirt, no honors to my name,

A simple, quiet street pup who plays no royal game.

I do not boast of titles, and I bring no costly pride,

Just a gentle, grateful spirit that wants to walk beside.

While others seek the finest breeds with pedigrees so high,

I only watch the passing feet and watch the world go by.

My lineage is humble, shaped by storm and cobblestone,

But I offer you a lifetime of a love that’s deeply grown.

I am not built for luxury, nor born for vanity,

But I will give my whole wide world to keep you company.

If you can open up your heart to one so small and plain,

I’ll spend my days just thanking you for saving me from rain.

Henlo hooman, lookit my face,

I loves my warm and safe new place.

No more scurry on the street,

No more cryin' for a treat.

My belly full of yummy food,

I haz the bestest happy mood!

No scary cars or stormy rain,

You washed away my puppy pain.

I do a snuggle on your knee,

My eyes as shiny as can be.

I love you tons, my hooman friend,

Our lonely days haz hit the end!

I give you thousand puppy kiss,

A life of snuggles, pure-ist bliss.

I curl up tight, a sleepy ball,

The luckiest street pup of dem all.
