The dress

Summary:

Uraraka is supposed to meet tenyas family and has no idea what to wear and midoriya try’s to help her and ends up wearing a dress.

Work Text:

Uraraka throws another dress onto her bed. “Nothing looks right,” she fusses. Running a hand through her hair. She stands in front of me in her bra and underwear. We’ve been at this for almost an hour now. Maybe longer.

“Iida will love whatever you wear,” I reassure her.

She groans. “It’s not him. It’s his family that I’m supposed to meet. I have nothing that looks good enough for a family of that stature,”

I turn to her closet. “What about this?” I ask, pulling out a form-fitting, knee-length blue dress.

She walks over and looks at it before taking it from me. “I don’t know. I don’t think it’s formal enough,”

I shrug before turning back to her closet. “Maybe there’s something else,”

“I don’t know Deku. Maybe I shouldn’t go,” I turn to face her. She’s half into the dress that I handed her.

“Well, Kacchen and I are planning to watch a movie tonight. And I’m sure he wouldn’t mind having you over,” she gives me a look.

“The last time I came over he threatened to throw me out,” I feel heat rise in my cheeks because well… that was because Kacchen had me pinned up against the wall with his hand down my pants when she came over. So he wasn’t too happy about that.

“But this time we’ll be expecting you,” she pulls the dress up.

“It’s fine really,” The dress clings to her in every way possible. And it would have probably looked good on anyone who wasn’t as built as she is.

She looks at herself in the mirror and frowns. “Why doesn’t anything look good on me? I swear this dress would look good on Anyone. Hell, Bakugo would rock this,” she fusses and I stifle a laugh.

“You would never be able to get him into a dress,” I say as she takes it off and throws it onto her bed with the others. She groans rubbing her face with her hands.

Then I decide to do something to try to cheer her up. Because I’ve known her long enough to tell when she’s going into a downward spiral over something.

I understand why she’s so stressed. It’s one thing to meet the parents of your partner. It’s another when those parents are some of the most well-known and respectable people in this country.

So we need to figure out what she’s going to wear, but first I’m going to make her laugh. Cause she’s feeling bad about herself when really it’s the fashion industry’s fault for not making dresses or fancy clothes for female heroes.

I take off my shirt and pants while she’s digging through her closet and I put on the dress. “I think I’ve tr-“ she starts as she turns around. She stops talking when she sees me.

Then immediately starts laughing. I look down at myself. The dress comes to maybe my thighs and it’s tight around my chest and stomach. I couldn’t zip it. “I thought you said it would look good on anyone?” She only laughs harder.

“Sorry. Sorry. This is- I was wrong,” she pauses to continue laughing before she gathers herself again. “I need a picture,” she says grabbing her phone.

And I don’t care. If she wants a picture she can have one. “Make sure to send it to me,” I say as I bring two fingers up and smile. She takes the photo.

“Ok sending it,” I watch as she taps at her phone. Her smile fades. “Um don’t get mad,” she says and I immediately go over to her.

“What’s wrong?”

“I sent it to Bakugo,” I blink.

“He’s seen me naked you know,” she gives me a look.

“I didn’t need to know that,” I watch the typing bubbles pop up on her phone and then a single response.

Bakugo: Fuck.

Then more bubbles.

Bakugo: Pinky, why do you have ‘Zuku in a dress?

Uraraka: Well, I don’t have anything to wear.

Bakugo: That doesn’t answer my question. Do I need to come over there?

Uraraka: No. All good. :)

No more responses from after that. “Your boyfriend is going to kill me,” she says tilting her head so she can look at me.

“Maybe but first we need to find you something to wear,”

“What if I just show up in my hero costume?”

“That’s plan B,”

“What’s plan A?” I take the ankle-length black dress off her bed that she tried on earlier and looked good on her.

Maybe not formal enough to meet people like the Iida family, but I think it will work.

“It’s the only option isn’t it?” She asks and I nod she sighs and puts it on.

She turns and looks in her mirror. “Now I have to do my hair,”

“But at least now you know what you’re wearing,”

She turns and faces me. “Yeah. I do. Thank you,”

“Anytime. I enjoy a little girl time,” I joke and that makes her laugh once again.
