Summary
Amber is dead. Wilson is gone. And Gregory House has never felt more alone.
As grief gives way to depression, House begins to unravel. Vicodin is no longer enough, morphine and alcohol fill the silence, and the man who has spent his life diagnosing everyone else's pain becomes increasingly incapable of facing his own.
Behind the sarcasm and carefully constructed indifference lies someone who has never believed himself worthy of love. Haunted by his childhood and convinced that everyone eventually leaves, House begins to destroy himself in ways he can no longer hide.
As his self-harm worsens and his thoughts grow darker, he finds himself approaching a point of no return.
Wilson has no idea how badly House is suffering. And House would rather disappear entirely than admit how desperately he needs him.
But perhaps the hardest thing House will ever have to learn is that being broken doesn't make him unlovable.
And that he doesn't have to face everything alone.
