   Summary

   A late Victorian love affair! As the nineteenth century winds down and Queen Victoria's diamond jubilee (sixtieth anniversary as monarch) approaches, England's empire is at its peak, and she can no longer deny the interest she has harbored for Russia, one of her main rivals throughout the 1800s. Meanwhile, an adolescent America faces growing pains and fears of her own with help from France. Not really a plot-heavy fic, but more of a meditation on American and British history with a lot of hot F/F!
